Capacity: Rooms: 19 bedrooms Dining: 80 - 120 covers/day Food Type: Modern Scottish menu using fresh, local, seasonal produce Hourly Rate: Statuatory N.M.W/Negotiable – dependent upon previous experience Duration: Seasonal Accommodation: Accommodation with shared facilities including internet access and sky TV Hours: 40 up to 50 hours during the height of season Days: 5/5.5 days per week Holidays: Statutory
The Tongue Hotel is a successful 4 star hotel situated on the north coast of Scotland. Its rural location with dramatic landscape makes it an ideal place to work, play, save, and discover the real Scotland! A beautiful location with great outdoor activities, yet only a two hour drive north of Inverness. Following ongoing renovations including refurbishment of our guest accommodation, restaurant and public house, we are delighted to be in the position of seeking further personnel for the 2010 season. Vacancies available: Housekeeping Involves • Straight day shifts • Light and Heavy domestic work • Seasonal (May-Oct/Nov) • High Standard expected – Award winning team • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Kitchen Porter/General assistant Involves • May require split shifts • Definitely Evening Work • Seasonal (March – Oct/Nov/Dec) • Involves heavy work • Basic food hygiene a bonus • May involve some prep work if required • Requires conscientious, hard working individual with initiative • Takes pride in their work • Record keeping a must • Answerable to those in the kitchen Food and Beverage service Involves • Will require split shifts • Definite evening work/unsociable hours • Seasonal (March – Oct/Nov/Dec) • Previous experience welcome but not essential for the right candidate • Experience dealing with the public a bonus • On the job training given • Requires excellent standard of English – written and verbal • Requires conscientious, hard working individual with initiative • Takes pride in their work • Answerable to Restaurant Lead and General Management As a small hotel we seek flexible personnel willing to work across all hotel disciplines.
