Take responsibility for part of a restaurant or a large hotel's kitchen when you work as a chef de partie or a sous chef! You might specialise in one particular area of cuisine creation, and the preparation and presentation of meals will be your main task.

Chefs de partie help with all aspects of kitchen management, menu development and maintaining health and hygiene records. It's a senior position in the kitchen, taking charge when the head chef is away. Prior experience is a crucial criterion, and formal training is also a plus.
