A hotel assistant manager's job entails helping the general manager with all aspects of his or her remit while taking full responsibility for other aspects of the hotel's management. An assistant manager needs to be financially aware and possess great management skills. You'll need to be confident, outgoing and self-motivated, as well as possessing the desire to progress in your career by learning from those around you. As such a prominent figure within the hotel, you will need to be able to motivate those around you and provide advice and assitance to guests where necessary. Prior experience and qualifications in management or hospitality are invaluable.
