Title: AV Technician

Reports to: Head of Venue Support

Based at: Venue, nr Coventry

Salary: 18k plus overtime and bonus

Job purpose:

To provide AV and technical support where required to all clients facilitating the hotel.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. To service all AV requirements as requested by clients through the hotel events team

2. To offer technical advice and support to the venue’s AV Manager

3. Ensuring that all kit is set up neatly and to a high standard.

4. To keep an on-going stock check of equipment stored on site.

5. To undertake basic maintenance and repairs of all venue based equipment

6. To work with the hotel’s operation staff to ensure each room has correctly set up AV equipment.

7. To operate events as needed

8. To help the venue AV manager supervise any freelance staff who are working on our behalf.

9. To service AV equipment for a number of venues in the area

10. Work at local warehouse branch as needed

Person Specification

The successful candidate will need to have at least 1 year experience working in the corporate av hire and live events industry with a broad knowledge of audio visual, sound and lighting equipment.

? Be Computer Literate. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Terms

? This is a permanent full time post

? There is a probation period of three months

? This is a full-time post with occasional evening and weekend working. On occasions you may be required to stay overnight away from home.

? Hours of work are normally 08.00 till 1700 with an hour lunch break, although flexibility with working hours will be required on occasions

? Salary for this post is dependent on experience and on completion of probation.

? Contributory pension scheme that may be joined after a three month period.

? The holiday leave year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Holiday entitlement for full-time employees is 20 days per annum, including three days between Christmas and New Year, plus bank holidays
