Who are you?

You are a team player:
You have worked hard to get where you are, now it’s time to pass on some of that experience on to more junior members of the team, you enjoy seeing others learning and progressing. You have lots of tasks to complete, but crucially important is making sure your team have everything they need and your full support. Being a team player here also means being front and centre looking after our guests.

You are organised:
As an Assistant Manager it’s all happening, busy tables, queries from reception, planning the next event, setting the standards and making sure they are met. You are keeping everyone safe at work, taking care of our customers and all the other little things that come your way. You are there in the middle of it all, calm smiles, a warm welcoming disposition, charming and unflappable.

You are committed and curious:
You are a natural coach, you want to know what makes your team members tick and help them be the best they can be. You are committed to your own personal development and want to go far (they can help with that). You listen to customers when they tell you about their visit and you pass that insight along so it can be used to make us even better. You are a little obsessed with food & drink, what’s new, what goes with what, you know your products inside out, and upsell at every opportunity.

You are business minded:
When faced with words and phrases like; Margin, GP, Costings, EBITDA, ARR, spend per head, gross and nett you either know what they are and do everything you can to control them or they are a bit new to you and you can’t wait to find out how you can impact them in a positive way for the business.

But what’s essential?

* You will be an experienced assistant manager or senior supervisor in a destination pub or bustling restaurant serving high quality fresh food.

* You have some bedrooms experience, but food and drink has been your main focus.

* You want to develop into an environment that does it all, events, accommodation and food.

* You love being on your feet, in the thick of it with the customers.

* You will need to be able to work weekends, evenings and Christmas.

The hotel is lucky enough to be in a beautiful area, but unfortunately that means you most likely need your own transport. There may also be the possibility of low-cost live-in accommodation.

This role would suit: Assistant Hotel Manager; Hotel Manager; Hotel Senior Supervisor; Restaurant Manager; Gastro-pub Manager; Gastro-pub Supervisor; Hospitality Manager; Hospitality Supervisor
