Associate - EMEA Hotels Advisory/Valuations

Our prestigious client, is the leading European real estate firm, with a focus on UK & European real estate investment opportunities.

The firm handles the full cycle of investments in real estate assets - specialisation within Alternative Capital Markets thus making it the market leader in identifying off market transactions, undertaking highly specialised due diligence of the assets, financial and transnational modelling, legal structuring, financing and debt negotiating and the development and implementation of exit strategies working closely with operating partners.

After some internal movement/restructuring my client is now looking to add a Hotel & Hospitality Associate specialist within the Advisory and Valuation arena

The role requires proactive management and supervision of new and ongoing valuation projects focused on investment analysis, financial modelling, due diligence work, including discussions with local service providers in country, site visits, transaction documentation, and working with local operating partners across the UK and Europe.

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of real estate investing in both the UK & Europe arena, valuations. investment analysis, financial modelling, and due diligence with in-depth project management of multiple projects.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for brokering the deals, managing, mentoring and developing junior level staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Undertaking valuations and strategic advisory assignments for single assets and cross-border portfolios in the EMEA region

• Working both independently and as part of a team depending on the project scale

• Liaising directly with clients • Undertaking peer reviews of reports prepared by others

• Training new starters and mentoring junior team members

• Taking an active role in the team’s Client Relationship Management activities

• Working on other non-appraisal advisory projects as required Requirements:

• RICS part or fully qualified an advantage; along with a working knowledge of hotel valuations

• A good knowledge of the hotels & hospitality real estate sector or similar property sector with 2-3 years’ experience in an investment bank, hotel operator or hospitality investor/advisor

• An understanding of regulatory dynamics and the potential impact on the hospitality industry • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills facilitating key client and stakeholder management

• Excellent analytical skills • Advanced MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook required

• Ability to travel throughout Europe essential. European language skills desirable • Desirable: Experience in Salesforce, VBA coding, data analytics, and/or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
