Assistant Hotel Manager Oxfordshire

(Central Oxford with parking) £26K basic
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to work alongside the GM at this small, independent hotel tucked away in a residential area of the Oxford city centre. With 4* status, the hotel caters for business and leisure guests that want peace & quiet whilst in visiting Oxford. This is a perfect role for someone with some hotel Supervisory experience that wants a slight step up. This is not a fully fledged Asst GM role, hence the salary on offer but might be a good side step for an Asst Restaurant manager, or Reservations Manager wanting to side step.

Job brief
As Assistant Hotel Manager you'll play a pivotal part of the management team, taking the business to the next level. Reporting directly to the General Manager you'll lead from the front ensuring the successful daily running of the site.

You'll display a clear passion for leading, motivating and developing high performing, competent and motivated teams ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will assist the General Manager to manage and support the team, to ensure the smooth running of this hotel on a day to day rota basis which does include week-ends on a shift basis, working 5 days out of 7, whilst ensuring and maximising guest satisfaction and promoting hotel services. You will plan and supervise the activities of our small but diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of business.

It is important for the Assistant Hotel Manager to be involved in all aspects of the hotel operations. You will be just as responsible for dealing with complaints and you will be a key person of reference for employees and clients as well as external vendors. You must be able to guide the employees to work as a well functioning team. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation. The goal is to enhance customer dedication and expand our clientele by strengthening our hotel's reputation
