Incredible Chef-de-Partie opportunity working within a stunning award-winning luxury hotel, offering their guests a two-rosette accredited restaurant and fantastic spaces for Conferences & Banqueting, events and weddings. This fabulous hotel is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hertfordshire Countryside. They pride themselves on always delivering a first-class standard of service to all of their guests.

My client is seeking to recruit a passionate and hardworking Chef de Partie to work in the Brasserie and Banqueting kitchens. You will be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared and presented to deliver an excellent Guest experience while assisting with food cost controls.Chef de Partie duties and responsibilities:

- Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
- Prepare all mis-en-place or all relevant menus
- Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure food stuffs are of food quality and stored correctly
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
- Be environmentally aware

Chef de Partie skills and experience required:

- Must have at least 2 years recent experience, working within a professional kitchen as a Chef-de-Partie.
- Experience in a similar position with a firm understanding of excellence in customer service, ideally in a 5* Hotel
- Diploma or degree from accredited university in culinary arts or NVQ or related subject
- Must have the ability to multi-task while remaining focused.
- Be able to express creativity through food selections, preparation and presentation.
- Must be able to demonstrate a passion for cooking.
- Must have the ability to remain calm in high stress situations.
- Be able to solve problems quickly under pressure.
