Cordant People are urgently recruiting for a Deputy Operations Manager to join a well established, award- winning Hotel located on a beautiful seafront location in the Gower Peninsula. 

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (negotiable) 

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: Full time: 45 hours per week

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ….

Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of presentation and excellent levels of customer service

Identify customer needs and respond proactively to all customer concerns

Be a behavioural role model for your teams, and attract, recruit, train, and retain these key team members

Communicate clearly, and nurture an environment where your team members accept responsibility for their actions

Set clear expectations; monitor performance, and provide constructive and timely feedback (ensuring that Health and Safety compliance is paramount)

Create a culture of continuous improvement in working practices

Demonstrate your awareness of cost and quality in your purchasing decisions

You will need ……

Enthusiasm, commitment, and a passion for what you do

To be professional, and exceptionally well organised, with a sharp eye for detail

Demonstrable experience in all front and back of house areas, so as to be able to lead and direct the team with credibility

To be able to adapt your management style in order to engage effectively with a diverse team

The ability to lead, coach, mentor and motivate team members at all levels

The ability and appetite to learn and adapt quickly

That all-important ‘spark’ when it comes to building relationships with people

3+ years experience in a similar job and the ‘know how ‘ required to take customers needs and to translate them into sales opportunities

A ‘can-do’, flexible, principled, and mature approach to the role

Evidence that you can deliver against revenue targets and a range of other KPIs

Ideally you will drive due to the clients remote location.
