Description

Are you experienced and hands on, ambitious and dynamic? Do you love working in a creative and inspiring environment? As the Venue & Events Head Chef you will be responsible for the food ethos at Olympia and events, ensuring the highest standard of food is being delivered to our customers. Food and labour cost management for the kitchen brigade is essential. Proactive management of food safety and health & safety is a pre-requisite of the role.

Main duties include:

  • Menu improvement to ensure that our brands are kept on trend and in keeping with our food philosophy

  • Culinary development of our kitchen team

  • Ensuring food output is consistently kept to the very highest standard

  • Presence front of house along with ensuring the presentation of all outlets is consistently of the highest level

  • Complete operational and commercial administration as directed, to include H&S / Bar Procedures Manual / Food Safety and Business Procedures

  • Manage stock levels to outlets, including fridges, to ensure consistent coverage in displays as well as customer demand

  • Completion of stocktakes in an accurate and efficient manner

  • Food and labour cost management

  • BOH / FOH end of day check list to be completed on every event

  • Manage and maintain the site, ensuring the working environment for the operational team is clean & meeting all health & safety legislation

  • To manage and adhere to HACCP procedures

  • To report any food safety issues and follow up

Essential skills required in this role include:

A love of food and a knowledge of current trends

Previous kitchen management experience
Strong communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and lead a team

A friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers

Job Type: Full-time

Requirements


Required experience:

  • Management: 3 years

Required licence or certification:

  • Minimum of Level 2 Food Safety. Level 3 Food Safety desirable.
