Part-time Receptionist - 4* Hotel / Luxury retirement Village - 3 days a week - £10,608 to £10,732 / £8.50ph to £8.60ph + excellent benefits package

This is a rare and wonderful opportunity to join a Village complex for the Elderly, which offers the residents their own home, set within a beautiful village setting that operates a lot like a 4* hotel and to hotel standards, where they offer many facilities and breath-taking grounds and gardens etc.

* £10,608 to £10,732 / £8.50ph to £8.60ph + excellent benefits package

* Working 3 days out of 7, on a rota basis (Monday 08:00 - 16:00, Tuesday 12:00 - 20:00, Wednesday 12:00 - 20:00, Thursday 08:00 - 16:00, Friday 08:00 - 16:00, Saturday 12:00 - 20:00, Sunday 12:00 - 20:00)

* To welcome guest on their arrival and assist them in complying with our legal requirements in relation to guest registration, and also to follow the correct credit procedures

* To quickly, but efficiently allocate a room ensuring all special requests are dealt with

* To aid and assist guests during their stay through effective use of social skills and pass any complaints or comments ontoyour Shiftleader or DutyManager.

* To be aware of what is going on in the hotel on a day to day basis, i.e. rooms to sell, conferences, functions or meetings.

* To sell other facilities within the hotel e.g. Restaurants, Bars etc.,

* Maintain an effective liaison between relevant departments i.e. Housekeeping, Reservations, Maintenance

* To take responsibility for your float ensuring that all banking is done in your code reporting any discrepancies in cash to your shift leader.

* To ensure good working relationship with colleagues in Reception area and other departments.

* To keep Front Office area tidy at all times.

* To assist guests in local information, transport arrangements, safety deposit boxes in the Concierge absence.

* Ensuring the desk is covered at all times.

* To be proficient in switchboard operations including the operation of the pager system, PA system and Telelogger.


* To have similar experience within a Hotel or similar environment

* To have a smart and friendly nature

* A bubbly and welcoming smile

* Empathetic towards the needs of the elderly.

* Excellent communication skills
