Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced couples/pairs of friends with a passion to deliver exceptional customer service. This season we are proud to have received a Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice award and a feefo rating of 4.9/5 which reflects our guests appreciation of our outstanding service which can only be achieved by a great team.

As a chalet couple/pair you will live and work together running your own alpine chalet. One of you will be a trained, professional chef with a passion for creating a memorable dining experience, your partner will be ‘front of house’ with relevant hospitality experience although your roles will overlap. 

CHEF
 
You will be required to -

Provide meals on 5 days - continental and cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, 4 course dinner
Create the menu within an allocated budget
Accommodate guests dietary requirements including kids menus
Weekly shopping 
Maintain a scrupulously clean and organised kitchen
Observe all hygiene and health and safety standards
Assist chalet host with service and general chalet duties

You will be -

Professionally trained/professional work experience
Currently, or in the recent past, working in a chef role
Able to show proven, previous experience in chalets, restaurants, yachts, event catering etc
Passionate about food, presentation and service
Outgoing, self confident, conscientious and highly organised
Be mature and responsible

HOST
 
You will be required to -

Serve meals and drinks in a professional manner
Assist the chef with prep, plating up etc as required 
Clean daily - bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas
Carry out a more thorough clean on changeover day
Change sheets and towels on changeover day
Organise sending/receiving linen to/from commercial laundry
Maintain stocks of consumable items - cleaning materials, toilet rolls, firewood etc
Lay, manage and clean log burner/fire if applicable 
Maintain hygiene and health and safety standards

We have twin and double bedrooms at our staff chalet so can accommodate couples or pairs of friends who have worked together before.
