Fancy spending the summer working in the beautiful Aravis region in the French Alps?

We are recruiting two friends/a couple to work alongside our core team to help run the Aravis lodge during the Summer Season. The chalet is located in the small village of St Jean de Sixt, near the main resorts of Grand Bornand and La Clusaz and close to the beautiful Annecy.

Our team need to be efficient, flexible and conscientious in their approach to work. To get the most out of a summer season you'll need to be prepared to work hard, be energetic and love working with people. The summer season is a fantastic way to spend an amazing and active few months in the mountains hiking and cycling, and although the hours can be demanding and long, your rewards include plenty of time in the sunshine, meeting lots of new people and our great benefits package.

We would require our chalet host couple, or two friends, to have a good eye for detail and list cleanliness and tidiness as strong points. You will be a main point of contact for guests, so you must be able to build good relationships with them and assist them in all aspects of their summer activity holidays.

Your role would involve the day to day running of our Aravis Lodge from a kitchen and domestic point of view through to our inhouse bar. Your job will include all housekeeping duties and ensuring your guests are well cared for throughout their stay. You will be responsible for the running of the chalet kitchen and meal prep for the guests. You will need to be able to produce a varied menu, to include 3 course dinners, a hot breakfast option and cakes for afternoon tea.

As a pair your jobs will overlap and we would expect you to assist each other in your work so that you run your chalet efficiently and professionally. As a team, you must ensure that guests are comfortable and enjoying a high standard of personal service.

Requirements

These two roles would suit anyone having done a similar Chalet Host role during the winter ski season. The mix of domestic and kitchen experience would suit an organised and flexible couple looking to spend time in a stunning mountain environment.

At least one of the 2 must be a driver and also have a good working knowledge of French.

Please note the requirement of an EU passport - for the sake of clarity this means a passport issued by an EU country/right to work within the EU. Unfortunately, due to Brexit we are NOT accepting applications from UK Passport holders for these roles
