Financial Controller - Large High Volume Hotel Location: Manchester Salary: Up to £55,000 + 10% Bonus + Fantastic Benefits

** Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for a hugely experienced and commercially driven Financial Controller either from a busy city centre or airport hotel background to partner with an experienced General Manager as a Business/Yield Manager to guide and maximise revenue for an already hugely successful high turnover property. This 300+ bedroom property is due to expand by an additional 200+ bedrooms. With this in mind, the right candidiate will need to have worked in a larger property **

Our client, a highly regarded large hotel operator, are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller with a strong hotel background for one of their high volume sites based in the Manchester area.

They are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join their management team to look after the day to day operational running of the finance department and with their wealth of experience give strategic guidance to the General Manager of the property. We are looking for someone who is who has the patience and interest in training a small team to develop their financial skills as well as working closely with the General Manager to get them where they need to be. The company is diverse and despite being a larger business, has a nice family feel. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong ambitious Financial Controller or Management Accountant with a strong background in hotels to really make their mark working for a well-known and strong reputable operator.

The company are constantly refurbishing and uplifting their current offering whilst growing and developing new sites in exciting locations.

The role itself will involve preparing management accounts, overseeing stock, wages, expenses and working as a consultant to the property, acting in an advisory capacity to the General Manager, working with them to get them where they need to be, setting targets and also reporting back. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and Regional Financial Controller will have 2 direct reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

Background of working as a Financial Controller/Management Accountant/Finance Manager in a busy large hotel operation (Apply online only)+ bedrooms).

Qualified member of accountancy body or holder of equivalent qualification

A background in finance with a restaurant, bar, pub, hotel or leisure operator

*

The patience & ability to work with General Managers to set targets to get them on track, monitor progress & report back

Strong IT Skills (Sage 50, Procure Wizard, Micros Symphony, Alchemy, Opera Cloud)
