Job title: Head Housekeeper
Salary: 11 GBP per hour
Location: Lyme Regis, Dorset
Type of contract: Permanent

Main duties and responsibilities:
To provide excellent guest service
To maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety
Ensure high standards and efficiency of work
To fulfil your duties to the best of your ability
Your Role:
Room checks on arrivals to help maintain excellent standards
Provide day to day direction and support to the Housekeeping team
Ensure that a great working relationship is maintained with our guests and other departments within the hotel
Hold monthly / weekly team meetings, in cooperation with the General Manager. Ensure daily handovers with the team to ensure that all relevant information is communicated
To liaise and communicate with other team members and other service departments in a clear and timely manner to ensure service delivery and teamwork
Follow guest and department safety and security policies and procedures are maintained. Ensure that a clean, safe, and secure environment is maintained at all times
Ensure that all staff Health & Safety training is completed and updated
To ensure that all cleaning and laundry supplies are ordered from current nominated suppliers in line with Company purchasing policy
To organise deep cleaning duties when required
To be involved in the day to day housekeeping duties, changing bed linen and making beds, replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, emptying trash containers, cleaning public areas, such as corridors
Reporting any technical issues and maintenance requirements
To maintain the high standards of cleanliness
To provide and promote a welcoming, friendly, personal and professional service
To control the security of the hotel and report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence
To help prepare the Rota and coordinate your team accordingly to the occupancy
Standards and Quality service
Maintain and strive to improve standards of service
Maintaining a thorough and efficient service
Personal Responsibilities
You must always be dressed neatly, fresh and wear a clean uniform
Promote good time keeping
Be flexible with your working hours
Promote good morale in the department by being committed and positive when on shift
Be committed to training courses and meetings scheduled for you
Work closely with other departments and ensure guest expectations are reached and exceeded
Be prepared to carry out reasonable duties asked of you by your General Manager
Give feedback to your General Manager regarding any items that you feel can be changed or improved
To communicate in a professional and friendly manner with guests and staff alike at all times
Essential criteria: Must have previous experience as a Deputy or Head Housekeeper in a boutique hotel.
Accommodation provided: Yes on an all inclusive basis
Charge for accommodation: 58 GBP per week
