Job Title: Hotel Night Manager
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum
Contract: 40 hours per week

My client is looking for a dedicated, organised Night Manager to oversee hotel operations from the hours of 10pm – 6am. The hotel boasts 79 guestrooms spread over 3 floors, fusing artisan tastes with soul and progressive design throughout. Created in 2008, its design reflects a collaboration between the city’s own local creatives and New York-based, award-winning designer Karim Rashid.

We are looking for a customer focused professional to manage the night operation of the hotel in line with procedures and policies, whilst maintaining standards defined by the hotel and company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supporting the Guest Services Manager in ensuring all team members are aware of policies, procedures, and brand standards in relation to guest satisfaction
Giving the best possible service to guests
Maintain a professional approach at all times to guests and colleagues
Ensure a good level of local knowledge and concierge skills can be provided by Night Porters
Ensure all night audit functions are carried out smoothly and efficiently as per company standards
Be fully aware of the hotel cash handling and credit procedures and to account for any discrepancies at the end of the shift
Ensure security procedures regarding walk arounds, departmental keys and floats are strictly adhered to at all time
Ensure that keys to restricted areas are kept in a safe designated place and only issued for legitimate work purpose to authorised personnel
Be fully confident in the hotel fire safety policy in order to carry out a full evacuation of the hotel
Communicate with the Guest Services Manager or Duty Manager daily, ensuring a thorough handover each morning
Make yourself aware of and follow hotel Fire procedures, Health and Safety procedures and Conduct, Grooming and Staff Policies.
