Conference and Event Sales Manager – Luxury 4* Hotel in Southampton

Location:             Southampton

Salary:                  £28,000 - £32,000

My client is a 4* luxury branded hotel looking for an experience Conference and Event Sales Manager to join this dynamic team. The Conference and Events Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the Conference and Events Sales office and the sales team respectively.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience within Conference and Event Sales, ideally in a management/supervisory position within a 4* or 5* environment. They will also need excellent communication skills, be target driven and have knowledge of Delphi FDC, ONQ PM, Rates and inventory. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Conference and Events Sales function within the hotel
Leading a team within the sales department of the hotel and being responsible for the full lifecycle of meeting and event sales, from dealing with initial inquiries through contracting and planning the client’s events, before ensuring a thorough handover is given to the Operations team
The Conference and Event Sales Manager will ensure that sales leads, conversion of customer inquiries, development of future/repeat business are all maximized

The Conference and Event Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing the Conference and Events strategy for the hotel, maximizing room yield and accurate forecasting of business levels

They will also be expected to liaise closely with the Proactive Sales team, participate in site familiarisation trips and use their knowledge of the marketplace to ensure that hotel offering remains industry leading.
REQUIREMENTS

Similar Position within a 4/5-star Luxury branded or boutique hotel
Excellent English communication
Excellent organisational skills
Strong leadership skills and team management experience
