Description

We seek Night Concierge staff to join our bank team across South West London.  Our mental health recovery units are based in Tooting, Tooting Bec, Battersea and Balham.  We offer a competitive rate of £9.10 per hour and opportunities to develop your skills and experience at the same time.

Servol Community Services provide a service for vulnerable adults who experience mental health conditions.  Mental Health Recovery Workers provide the required daily support for clients, and the Night Concierge ensures the safety and comfort of clients from 9pm to 9am.  You will responsible for the security of the unit, CCTV monitoring, cleaning and health and safety duties.  The safety and security of our clients is of the utmost importance, therefore you must stay alert during your shift and be responsive to any issues or concerns raised.   You must also be competent at using MS Word, Excel and email to update records throughout your shift.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Night Concierge:

- Provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere for all residents, representatives and visitors to the units.

- Carry out regular sensory checks of all communal areas, including all external doors and windows.

- Take full responsibility for ensuring Health & Safety requirements are met with regard to the service users, building, staff and any visitors.

- Maintain clear pathways around fire exit areas and doors at regular intervals.

- Provide a clear and accurate handover at the end of each shift to the day staff.

- Ensure that all visitors to the building are recorded and are compliant with company rules and policy.

- Answer phone calls in a professional manner and take accurate messages.

- Log any maintenance issues in the Communication Book/email the manager of any urgent maintenance issues.

- Complete all monitoring forms electronically, including Health & Safety, Client Activity, Accidents & Incidents.

Skills and experience required to become our Night Concierge:

- Current SIA Door Supervisor licence holder is desirable

- Work experience that involves providing security/concierge services to disadvantaged and vulnerable people

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

- Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation and procedures

- Good computer skills

- Well organised and to be able to  lone work
