Description

We are a registered care and support charity that offers services to just over 6000 people within the Midlands. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident has over 50 years of delivering homes, services and innovation in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 800 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more.

About the role

We are looking to recruit for a Night Concierge for our Sandwell Homeless Services based in Wednesbury. The role is permanent opportunity working 42 hours a week. The role is to provide a security and support function to customers as part of a 24 hour service, raising any concerns, and reporting these in line with policy and procedure.

The role will involve undertaking routine building checks to ensure security, health and safety and general tidiness of building and maintain the CCTV, as well as keeping accurate and appropriate recordings of activities undertaken throughout the night.

About you

* Experience of working within a security environment

* Communicate effectively; verbally, non-verbally and in writing

* Sensitively adapt language and communication style

* Ability to develop and establish relationships with colleagues and customers

* Ensuring confidentiality relating to customers and staff

* Solving problems using own initiative without passing them upwards where possible

* Dealing with queries from customers and visitors to site

* Reporting level 1 safeguarding incidents

The role is a permanent opportunities which will involve working nights to include some weekend work.Mandatory training will be provided; as well additional training to promote development and opportunities would also be made available for those successful candidates.
